The Shri Hari Rai Temple is an ancient and respected temple situated in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Positioned next to the Chaugan Gate, this temple features the traditional Shikhara style, known for its impressive spire. It is believed to have been constructed in the 11th century by Salabahana and is famous for its beautiful architecture and intricate carvings. One of the temple’s highlights is the idol of Lord Vishnu, which is richly adorned with jewelry like finger rings, armlets, necklaces, and earrings. This idol represents Lord Vishnu in a unique three-faced form, symbolizing human, lion, and boar, and riding on six horses. The temple also includes niches with other deities, such as Lord Shiva and Goddess Uma. With its stunning design and deep spiritual significance, the temple attracts many tourists and devotees.
